Welcome!!Logan Library

The Logan Area Public Library opened its doors in 1997 as part of the Logan Middle School. Being located within the Middle School, we are centrally located to the citizens in our area. The Library has many FREE services available for the public to take advantage of. We invite you to stop in and "Check out" what we have to offer.

WHAT'S ALL THE HOOPLA!: The Logan Area library will be offering Hoopla Digital Media Access to all patrons with a Library Card.
Hoopla is a platform which allows patrons to rent digital materials-movies, e-books, audio books, TV shows, comics-all downloadable to your device. This service will be available after December, 2016.

PAINTING WORKSHOPS: The library will periodically be offering painting classes for beginners. Please call us or check with us on Facebook for details and dates for these classes. Debra Spradling is the instructor for these classes. Your first class will include a set of paint and brushes and will be $35.00. Each additional class you take will be $25.00, and only the canvas will be provided.

STORYTIME begins after Labor Day and will be every Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. through May. Everyone is invited to attend. We read a story, do a craft, play games, and have a small snack. This program is especially good for preschool age children because it helps with the development of social skills before beginning school.

SUMMER READING Summer Reading is a free program for children of all ages that usually begins the latter part of June and runs until the end of July. It is typically a 5 week program that is scheduled every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. There is a new and exciting theme every year for summer reading, and we do activities, crafts, and games based on the current year's theme. We have a reading contest and give out prizes and certificates. Summer reading is a great way to keep your child reading throughout the summer.

READING CONTEST: We are challenging all school age children to READ, READ, READ! All you have to do to participate in our reading contest is check out and read a book from the library, fill out the form provided, and place it in the box provided. At the end of each month, we will have a drawing. The lucky winner will receive a $15.00 in cash. The more books you read, the more you increase your chances of winning.

DOLLY PARTON IMAGINATION LIBRARY IS BACK! Good News for all of you with toddlers receiving books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! We received word that they will begin sending books to your child again in the very near future. If you have a child under the age of 5 years old who is not signed up, please stop by the library to sign them up to day! Your child will receive a free book in the mail every month until their 5th birthday.
