The Logan Area Public Library opened its doors in 1997 as part of the Logan Middle School. Being located within the Middle School, we are centrally located to the citizens in our area. The Library has many FREE services available for the public to take advantage of. We invite you to stop in and "Check out" what we have to offer.
*SUMMER READING 2013, DIG INTO READING! We would like to welcome children ages 3 to 18 to come and join us for our summer reading program. The program begins on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 11a.m. to 1:00p.m.. and lasts for 5 weeks. We will have lots of exciting reading adventures, do lots of fun activities and crafts, and have a healthy snack each week. See us at the Library for more details and to register.
**SUPER WHY! SUMMER READING CAMP**: WV PBS will be sponsoring a summer reading camp for preschool age children. This program is designed to help children ages 4-7 learn to read through interactive story adventures. Tiffany Sargent, a certified teacher, will teach the class for 3 hours a day for 5 days. The program will begin on Monday June 17, 2013, from 10:30 a.m., to 1:30 p.m., and will run through Friday, June 21, 2013. Registration is necessary due to limited space, so please call the library to sign up! This is a wonderful learning experience for your child.
**WV READS 150: Join the Library and the WV Virginia Library Commission in a fun reading challence that celebrates West Virginia's 150 birthday. WV reads 150 challenges you to read 150 books in the year 2013. You can do this as an individual or as a group. You may also apply online through Cabell County Public Library at cabell.lib.wv.us.
